SHIPPING AND INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Your order will arrive at the shipping speed You selected at checkout. We are not able to change your shipping speed once your order is placed.

Occasionally, Your items may arrive damaged from shipping. If this occurs, please contact Us at hello@shopfirsthouse.com and We will make every reasonable effort to fix the situation. Often, it is the carrier’s fault and the best course of action in this instance is to contact the delivery service about their damage to Your order.

If You are not located in the United States, You are considered an international purchaser. It is Your sole responsibility to pay any duties, taxes (including, but not limited to, GST and VAT) and customs fees. We will provide Your shipment with a commercial invoice as necessary by law.

SHIPPING MATERIALS AND PACKAGING

We are committed to being as environmentally friendly as is possible for a product-business that ships goods to customers. One of the first areas we are focusing on is our shipping materials and packaging. Here's what we are currently doing to minimize our role in harming the environment:

  1. We purchase our materials from EcoEnclose and Noissue. Both companies are committed to providing environmentally-friendly materials to product-businesses.
  2. We get lots of items shipped to us which means we have an abundance of materials, most of which are not environmentally-friendly. Because of this, we will reuse materials such as packing paper in our packages, as long as the integrity of the paper is still in tact. While this doesn't always allow for our packages to be "on brand", we feel that it is more important to reuse as much as possible. 
  3. Our tape is compostable, our packaging slips and shipping labels are printed on recycled paper, our cardboard is made with recycled content, we stamp with algae ink, and our tissue paper is FSC-certified recycled paper and printed with soy-based ink.
